Whitewashed headboard project

The steps our client took are as follows:

1.  Unfinished pine headboard (handmade!)

2. One coat of Soapstone as base colour. Dry overnight. 

3. Brush whitewash over Soapstone. I created the light grey whitewash with 3 parts Casement, 1 part Soapstone, and diluted with water by approx 50% (may have been more). Let dry for 2 hours. 

4. Lightly dry brush Casement for final highlights.
