NOTE: chairs should be prepped PRIOR to the workshop

HOW CAN I TELL WHAT MY PIECE WAS PAINTED WITH, SO I WILL KNOW IF PREP IS REQUIRED? To find out if your piece was painted with oil based paint, wet a white rag with either denatured alcohol or deglosser and rub the surface. If a colour appears on the rag, the paint is water based. If no colour shows, the surface paint is oil based and you will need to prep the surface. Even if your piece was painted with water based paint, if it looks glossy sand lightly to rough up the surface and give it some tooth. Keep in mind that if a primer or a second coat needs to be applied, you must allow for drying time.

*COVID-19 safety measures taken with distanced workspaces, handwashing stations, touchless instruction and mandatory wearing of masks. No refunds within 48 hours of class.
