floral dresser project

Started off a wobbly chest of drawers with the unexpected bonus of the partnering mirror and brackets.

Removed the top and re-glued the joints. Sanded off any old paint and stain runs with a quick wash down with TSP Alternative

Painted upside-down first. First coat of Sacred Sage from Fusion Mineral Paint.

Stained the top with Driftwood SFO, banded it with Rose Gold Metallic and reattached.

All the drawers got sanded down to bare, TSP’d then applied Driftwood SFO x 2 coats and buff sanded for a smooth finish.

Added Espresso Wax for aging effect.

Wanted to play with Redesign with Prima Decoupage Papers and paste from Fusion then added wax to darken the edges.

Just waiting for the mirror to dry and for the drawer pulls to arrive.

And complete! (still waiting for the drawer pulls)
